500 Miles

Thanks to an amazing blogger and friend known as Inky, I have had a fantastic song rolling through my head for nearly 72 hours. Most songs that constantly run through my mind get really annoying really fast, but this song hasn’t.

Number one on my current list of favorite songs, I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) is an upbeat and contagious tune by Proclaimers. Not only does the distinct Scottish accent stick to your brains like a cloud clings to the Scottish highlands, but the beautiful harmonies create fulfilling music and bring out the lyrics.

Not only do I sing the lyrics with a tinge of Scottish, but I scream the “Dadadada’s” with glory like I’m blowing the bagpipes. My friends (including Inky) call to each other by singing the chorus of 500 Miles.

If you don’t know what song I’m talking about, watch here. It’s a great song with a great message, besides it’s Scottish and catchy. When I get married, this is going to be my theme song. 😉

But I would walk five hundred miles
And I would walk five hundred more
Just to be the man who walked a thousand miles
To fall down at your door
